I would like to invite you to participate in the real estate conference in Warsaw, Poland on October 13 to 17, 2002. The conference is organized by the Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR), where I am the Vice Chairman of the International Committee & the Warsaw Association of Realtors (WSPON) of which I am a member of. This will be a high profile event.
Approximately 70 to 100 participants are expected to travel to Poland from Chicago, including but not limited to: realtors, developers, representatives of financial institutions and various corporations. The event is being organized with the assistance of the State of Illinois Office in Poland and American Chambers of Commerce in Poland. The conference is also being sponsored by the Coldwell Banker Europe. The Citibank, GE Capital and Irish Allied Bank are also expected to become sponsors. On the Polish side the conference is organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Polish Housing & Urban Development Administration. Among attendees will have present: Mr. Marek Pol - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure; Mr. Marek Bryx - Under Secretary of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure & President of The Department Of Housing And Urban Development; and Mr. Ryszard Matkowski - Vice President of The Department Of Housing And Urban Development, as well as, other government and business representatives, including Polish real estate developers, financial institutions (PKO Bank, BP., & others).
As of the last year US corporations have invested $5.8 Billion in Poland. Every "Fortune 500" US corporation is present in Poland, including the State of Illinois. This will be an excellent opportunity not only to learn about investment opportunities in Poland and the market place, but also to make very valuable contacts. At the conference, there will be present representatives from all Polish real estate associations. In the event you are interested in establishing a relationship with any of them, I would be happy to make the introduction.
The conference will take place in the Sheridan Hotel in Warsaw (Five Star Hotel). Rooms are available at an attractive discount, only 130 Euro = about $116, single or double accommodations, breakfast included. Airline tickets are available at about 30% discount from LOT - Polish Airlines. Reservation deadline is September 13, 2002, exclusions apply.
