Ximena Skovron, a Univeristy in Miami Law School student won the First Prize
for the "Best Brief" on March 31st in New York. Students from 32 universities in the
USA including Ivy League universities such as Harvard, participated in the Competition
organized by the National Bankruptcy Association in the New York Court of Appeals.
Ximena was born in Krakow, Poland, and is the daughter of economist and translator
Cecilia Lawinski of Miami and architect Lloyd Skovron of Philadelphia.

It is great pleasure that we announce that Richard Jurgens, Ximena Skovron
and Jodi Ezrin won the National Bankruptcy competition this past weekend in New York.
They were awarded first place for their oral advocacy and recived the best brief award.
We would like to extand our thanks to the Richard Hausler Golden Golden Apple Winner,
Patricia Redmond who served as their coach for the competition. Congratulations to all!
